Ultracarb ™

The Sterasyl™ ceramic is fitted with an activated carbon block insert which contains lead removal media to produce the Ultracarb™. Among other things, activated carbon is very effective at removing chlorine and organics from water. Ultracarb™ is designed to be used in pressure filters (on a mains water supply), not in gravity filters.

Benefits: Ultracarb™ has all the benefits of Sterasyl™ (removal of particles, pathogenic bacteria, cysts etc.) with additional chlorine, organics and lead removal capabilities.

The Doulton Ultracarb is a three stage cartridge combining the highly efficient filtration properties of ceramic with the enhanced water treatment properties of activated carbon and the heavy metal reduction capabilities of ion exchange media.

First Stage

The first stage consists of Doulton Sterasyl® ceramic which provides genuine sub-micron filtration. The cartridge reduces fine particulate matter, bacteria, cysts and turbidity. The incorporation of silver locked within the ceramic structure gives enhanced bacteriostatic and self-sterilising properties.

Second Stage

An inner core of activated carbon block removes chlorine and organic compounds.

Third Stage

Ion exchange resin reduces Lead and other heavy metals.

Fits industry standard 10”and 20” filter housings

  • Three filtration stages within a single cartridge
  • Filtration efficiency of > 99.99% at 0.9 micron
  • Filtration efficiency of > 99.9% at 0.5 to 0.8 micron
  • Highly efficient bacteriological filtration

FILTERED AND TREATED WATER

Supercarb ™

The Sterasyl™ ceramic is fitted with an activated carbon block insert to produce the Supercarb™ filter element. Among other things, activated carbon is very effective at removing chlorine and organics from water. Supercarb™ is designed to be used in pressure filters (on a mains water supply), not in gravity filters.

  • Fits Industry standard 10”filter housings
  • Dual stage filtration within a single cartridge
  • Filtration efficiency of> 99.99% at 0.9 micron
  • Filtration efficiency of > 98% at 0.2 micron
  • Highly efficient bacteriological filtration

Benefits: Supercarb™ has all the benefits of Sterasyl™ (removal of particles, pathogenic bacteria, cysts etc.) with additional chlorine and organics removal capabilities.

The Doulton Supercarb is a two stage cartridge combining the highly efficient filtration properties of ceramic with the enhanced water treatment properties of activated carbon.

First Stage

The first stage consists of Doulton Sterasyl® ceramic which is manufactured to provide genuine submicron filtration.

Sterasyl™

At the heart of all FICL’s filters is the Sterasyl™ ceramic. The ceramic is impregnated with silver to inhibit the growth of bacteria. Sterasyl™ ceramics have a tightly controlled complex pore structure, which has unparalleled filtration properties. Sterasyl™ is effective in both gravity and pressure filters.

Benefits: With its Absolute filtration rating (defined as >99.99%) of 0.9 microns, Sterasyl™ is highly effective against particulate contamination, pathogenic bacteria, cysts etc.

Doulton Sterasyl is a highly efficient ceramic micro filter which provides genuine submicron filtration of drinking water. Sterasyl is manufactured with the highly consistent and controlled pore structure necessary to remove a wide range of waterborne contaminants over the life of the cartridge.

  • Fits Industry standard 10” filter housings.
  • Filtration efficiency of 100% at 0.9 micron
  • Filtration efficiency of > 98% at 0.2 micron
  • Highly efficient bacteriological filtration with >90% efficiency at 0.05 microns
  • Tested with live Cryptosporidium to a removal efficiency 100%
  • Ideal for RO guard and post filtration
  • Complimentary to UV systems

In addition to fine particulate matter, bacteria, cysts and turbidity are removed to a high level of efficiency. The incorporation of silver locked within the ceramic structure inhibits the growth of bacteria and gives each cartridge enhanced bacteriostatic and self-sterilising properties.

RIO 2000 High Flow Module

The Rio 2000 is a proprietary module designed to fit an industry standard 10 inch jumbo housing. The module is reusable so that only the 6 incorporated mini Sterasyl“ filter candles need to be replaced.

The increased ceramic surface area available for filtration of these multiple candles offers superior flow rates -approximately 1500 litres (400 US gallons) per hour at 4 bar(60 psi) pressure.

Experience   the difference of filtered water

Healthy water healthy life

Doulton and British Berkfield filters offer you bottled water quality on tap 24 hours a day. Our unique ceramic filtration technology produces drinking water of unrivalled quality. All of our filter grades have been microbiologically tested.

Most grades also remove chlorine and improve the taste and odour of the water, while others use lead obsorbtive media to take out toxic lead specifically and other heavy metals.

Why a ceramic filter?

The small and complex pore structure of Doulton and British Berkefeld ceramics makes them an ideal filter medium for drinking water:

High Efficiency Filter:

Doulton® and British Berkefeld® filters are capable of removing more than 99.99% of pathogenic bacteria, disease causing cysts such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia, and particles.

Long Life/Value for Money:

As confirmed by the user instructions supplied with the product, the outer shell of Doulton® and British Berkefeld ® ceramic drinking water filters may be cleaned in order to prolong the life of the product.

In this way, the filter can be re-used rather than replaced, giving it a much longer life-span than many other products on the market, saving you money. On average, a Doulton ® or British Berkefeld® filter candle will remain effective for at least 6 months (depending on usage and water quality) before it will need to be replaced.

Anti-Bacterial Action:

FICL’s ceramics contain a proprietary system to inhibit microbiological growth, meaning that there is no need to sterilise Doulton or British Berkefeld ceramic filters.

Retains Essential Minerals:

Doulton and British Berkefeld ceramic filters keep those minerals in the water, which are beneficial to health.

No Power Required:

Doulton ® and British Berkefeld® drinking water filters do not require electricity to function, which means that they are cost-effective to run, are not vulnerable to interruption of power supplies, and can be used where there are no power supplies.

The Doulton Rio High flow is suited to the Jumbo or “Big Blue” filter housing
