Radionuclides and Corrosion Products are captured by these novel ion exchange filter papers, allowing plant personnel to track system and plant performance. Individual, highly functionalized, strongly basic anion and strongly acidic cation exchange papers are produced by a unique patented technology.

This technology achieves very fast ion exchange kinetics and provides the highest available ion exchange capacity per disk. The high performance papers fit all standard 47mm diameter filter holders and are durable, easy to handle, and simple to use.

The company was incorporated in South Africa as a public company in 1938, with the parent company, Germ Oils of the UK, as its major shareholder. In the late 1960’s the company in South Africa was sold to the local management following a take-over of the parent company in the UK.

Large Geometry Pleated Filters for High Flow

Graver High Flow Series filters feature a larger geometry to handle higher flows with fewer filter elements. The result is much faster, easier filter changeouts. In addition, the inside to outside flow allows for excellent dirt holding capacity, extending the time between filter changeouts.

Filter housings are also available and because of the filters high flow and dirt holding capacity, smaller systems are possible, reducing upfront capital costs.

By tightly controlling the manufacturing environment and through use of top-of-the-line microprocessors, we are able to precisely control the process conditions to produce the most reliable, consistently performing melt blown filter on the market today.

Absolute and Nominal Rated

Absolute and Nominal Rated Stratum Series advanced melt blown filter cartridges are available in high performance grades from 0.5 to 75 microns. Whether your process requires the highest efficiency 99.9% rated Stratum A Series, or the 90% nominal efficiency Stratum C series, you can count on the most advanced performance available from a melt blown filter.

High Purity Construction

Stratum filters are made with 100% virgin polypropylene and are free of surfactants, binders and adhesives. They are manufactured in a controlled environment to prevent contamination. The chemically inert polypropylene assures that the Stratum filters can be utilized in a wide range of applications, including the most critical of processes. Stratum filters are constructed of FDA listed materials and tests prove they meet the requirements of USP Class VI. Spent filters can be
incinerated to trace ash.

Our exclusive range of imported filter cartridges are supplied by Graver Technologies of the USA.

Whilst we manufacture as well as import a range of filter bags from FSI/PALL, these bags are primarily used in the automotive sector due to their speciality in nature.

Our South African manufactured filtration range of products are marketed under the brand name Flowrite, we manufacture yarn wound filter cartridges as well as resin bonded filter cartridges.

The products supplied and supported by the Filtration Division are primarily geared towards the filtration of liquids and compressed gasses. These products are typically reticulated in piping systems from 15mm diameter upwards, and at pressures from 20 bar down, and the product range of the Division reflects this.
