Filter Bags – Extended life (POEX/PEEX)
The Extended Life filter bags (POEX and PEEX) provide outstanding performance on many types of contaminants such as gels, particles with wide ranges of sizes, and particles with various irregular shapes.
The coarse, pre-filtering layer is designed to provide long service life, capturing a large amount of contaminants without excess surface loading.
The POEX has been field-proven to hold up to twice the amount of contaminants as a standard felt filter bag, reducing waste volume and bag changes. The Extended Life filter bag is ideal for automotive coatings, chemicals, resins, edible oils and other fluid applications.
- Excellent filtration on many contaminants – gels, particles with wide range of sizes and particles with irregular shapes
- A coarse inner layer, graded pore structure, greater depth than standard filter bags provide excellent filtration performance
- Available in polyester (PEEX) and polypropylene (POEX)
- Twice the standard dirt-holding capacity of traditional felt filter bags to provide longer service life, fewer change-outs and reduced waste
- Polypropylene bags are FDA compliant
- Micron rating for polypropylene 5-100; polyester 1-100
- PolyWeld® seam construction with hermetically sealing Polyloc® ring eliminates liquid bypass
- Glazed finish eliminates unwanted fiber migration

Domestic Water Filters
At Germ Africa we sell Domestic water filters in addition to our wide range of industrial water filters. Our primary product offering for house and home is from the Doulton range of filter cartridges.
The range of housing and Ceramic filters from Doulton caters for all your concerns for your families needs.

We also provide our own range of filter cartridges under the banner Flowrite.

Doulton
In 19th Century England, the River Thames was London s main water supply and sewer. Henry Doulton discovered that filtering water through a porous ceramic could stop people becoming sick from cholera and other water-borne diseases. This was a revolution in water treatment.

Fast forward 175 years and the ceramic filtration technology has advanced a long way, but the principles of our ceramic filters remain the same – providing safe, healthy, great-tasting drinking water wherever and whenever you need it. From a mud hut in Uganda to an office block in Utah, Doulton filters are working round-the-clock to provide millions of people with water they can enjoy and trust.

Doulton® filters offer you bottled water quality on tap 24 hours a day. Our unique ceramic filtration technology produces drinking water of unrivalled quality. All of our filter grades have been microbiologically tested. Most grades also remove chlorine and improve the taste and odour of the water, while others use lead absorbtive media to take out toxic lead specifically and other heavy metals.
Flowrite
Our Flowrite range of filters offer affordable filtration at a level of quality again to ensure your continued peace of mind.

We continually add to our range of filtration related products and also keep a standard stock of your common components like filter cartridges, filter housings and activated carbon filter cartridges.

If it is a simple tap plugin then we can offer counter top units to suit. Or perhaps an under counter unit suits your needs. We have many different designs and styles.

Are you looking for taste and possible odour removal from your home then look for the Activated Carbon water filter cartridge equivalent designed for such use.
We do all this in the hope to ensure your drinking water in your home is as it should be.

COAX™ Melt Blown filter cartridge
Two Stage Depth filter cartridge
The COAX Depth Filter cartridge is an integral two stage depth filter. The first stage of the filter cartridge is made of non-woven melt blown polypropylene to trap coarser articles.
The second stage inner core is composed of a bi-component polypropylene and polyethylene fibre to provide fine particle retention. This unique design provides a true graded density filter cartridge that offers a marked increase in useful life and dirt capacity.
In addition, the rigid nature means there is no flexing of the cartridge and greatly reducing media migration and particle unloading.

High Flow Series Filter Cartridges
Large Geometry Pleated Filters for High Flow
Graver High Flow Series filters feature a larger geometry to handle higher flows with fewer filter elements. The result is much faster, easier filter changeouts. In addition, the inside to outside flow allows for excellent dirt holding capacity, extending the time between filter changeouts.
Filter housings are also available and because of the filters high flow and dirt holding capacity, smaller systems are possible, reducing upfront capital costs.
High Flow Series Features – Benefits
- 6” diameter, large geometry for high flows
- Absolute retention ratings from 1 to 100 microns
- Capable of flow rates up to 500 GPM in a single 60” element
- FDA listed materials of construction
- Inside-out flow retains contaminant even during change-out
- Multi layer pleated construction with optimized surface area
- Outer cage prevents media extrusion problem experienced with some competitive offerings
- Unique Quad Seal gasket provides maximum seal integrity
- Retrofits competitive high flow filter housings
- Thermally bonded construction
